Educational Requirements: Must have a minimum of a certificate or greater in Turfgrass Management or related field.

Experience Requirements: Must have warm season putting green experience with overseeding. Must have at least 3 years of golf course maintenance experience; prior supervisory experience a plus. Must be knowledgeable and experienced with irrigation system function and repairs. Must have a basic knowledge of chemicals & fertilizers and be able to calibrate all equipment used for applying fertilizer & chemicals. Must be able to train, motivate and supervise crew members. Must possess time management skills & the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Must have excellent communication skills and preferably computer skills (Excel, Word and Outlook).

Special Requirements: Must be reliable, motivated, proactive, highly organized, efficient and detail oriented. And should be passionate about the golf course maintenance industry. Will work closely with the golf course superintendent to help direct and educate staff in all aspects of golf course maintenance and projects. Must be a hard working individual that is willing to complete the hours necessary to ensure optimal playing conditions for our clientele. Must be able to work scheduled weekends and holidays as needed. Must be able to obtain a Florida pesticide applicators license within 90 days of employment. Bi-lingual (Spanish) in golf course terminology a plus. Should play or be familiar with the game & rules of golf. Should aspire to become a golf course superintendent.

Salary Range: DOE

Comments: Amelia Island Plantation consists of four golf courses. This position will be working on are Oak Marsh and Ocean Links resort courses. They were co-designed by Pete Dye & Bobby Weed.
